Infinia

Infinia Corporation is a solar technology company and collection of talent, customers, suppliers and investors focused on changing how the world uses energy. Since 1985, Infinia has been delivering highly reliable, zero-maintenance, free-piston Stirling engines and power systems to commercial companies and government agencies.

Based in Kennewick, WA, Infinia is privately held with significant backing from GLG Partners, Vulcan Capital, Wexford Capital, Idealab, Equus and Power Play Energy.

In addition to conducting all aspects of the company's operations in Washington State, Infinia has presence in Madrid, Tokyo, New Delhi, Los Angeles, and Albuquerque.

Infinia's invention of the PowerDish is the world's first industrialized, mass-manufactured Stirling-based solar power system – enabling broad access to inexpensive solar power.

Pre-production and test units are currently operating at eight different sites around the world; Infinia plans to commission their first commercial installation in Arizona in early July, with large-scale commercial production expected to begin in late 2010.
